Arsenal vs Tottenham Highlights (Carling Cup)
Tottenham were unlucky not to come out from the Emirates Stadium with a victory. Theo Walcott scored a fluke goal to cancel out Jermaine Jenas opener. It ended all square 1-1 with all to play for in the second leg at White Hart Lane.
Spurs took the lead after 37 minutes of play. Robbie Keane squared the ball to the on rushing Jenas to slot the ball home virtually to an empty net. A lead which Spurs truly deserved for the their dominance in the first half.
After going a goal down, Arsene Wenger brought on Eduardo and regular full back Bacary Sagna. Arsenal found another gear after the introduction of the duo and were rewarded when Walcott running at full speed slot the ball passed Radek Cerny.
Replays suggested the ball had hit Walcott on the hand but it happened too quickly. Jermain Defoe could have won the tie for Spurs when he was put one on one with keeper, Fabianski but the blasted the ball wide from 10 yards. That sums up Spurs day and they are still searching for their first victory over Arsenal since 1999. Can they do it at White Hart Lane? Only time will tell.
