Barcelona vs Real Madrid Highlights
Barcelona took on Real Madrid on El Classico at the Nou Camp. Real Madrid came as leaders of the La Liga and they stayed there by opening a seven point gap on Barcelona as Madrid defeated Barcelona 2-1.
Both sides opted for an attack minded 4-3-3 formation going for the win. Ronaldinho made the start of the match and almost put Barca on the score sheet after being put through from a Andres Iniesta cross. Ronaldhinho effort was saved at full stretch by Iker Casillas.
Real took the lead 10 minutes before the break. Julio Baptista struck a stunning half volley. Baptista played a fantastic one two with Ruud van Nictelrooy and when the Dutchman returned the ball to Baptista, the Brazilian angled an exquisite half volley to the roof of the net beating Victor Valdes with ease.
Barca attacked all they can in the second half. Samuel Eto’o then saw his shot deflected just wide by Pepe as Barca pressed for a late equalizer. Madrid defence stayed firm and went home happy with 3 vital points with Baptista as their hero!
