Yesterday’s quarter finals Euro 2008 match between Germany Vs Portugal was a breath taking one where the Germans won 3-2. I am sure this Croatia match against Turkey will be as explosive as last night!
Croatia had a very impressive first round matches. Croatia opened their campaign with a 1-0 over Austria. Even more impressive they defeated the Germans 2-1 in their 2nd match and Poland 1-0 in their final match. Slaven Bilic will be super confident to guide his team to the semi finals.
Meanwhile, Turkey had to dig deep to qualify for the quarter finals. Turkey lost 0-2 to the Portuguese in their opening match. Then, the Turks kicked host Switzerland out with a late goal to beat the Switzerland team 2-1. Lastly, after going 2 goals down, the Turks came back from the dead the last 15 minutes to beat the Czech 3-2.
On paper, Croatia will be the favorites to qualify for the semi finals. Just looked what happened to Portugal!
Ample rest and played poorly. Like some of the readers say, Portugal wasn’t there last night!
Croatia will need to be on their toes as the Turkish side style of play is ala South America according to the outgoing Portuguese coach Scolari.
Both sides are making their second quarter finals appearance and both sides will want to make history by making to the semi finals for the first time.
I will go for Croatia for this one!
They are just too good and professional to loose this match. Turkey will be without many star players. See you at 19.45 (UK Time)
Changes
- Slaven Bilic will revert his starting line-up he used in the opening two matches.

great match by Croatia, they need a little bit of luck and maybe that player who can change the game any time like Ballack is missing for Croatia.
Nihat was the Hero for the last match but not this time

Seriously i can’t believe the result myself. Actually i already had a bad feeling for Croatia when they hit the woodwork from 2 yards out!
I really pity the Croat team. Slaven Bilic is a good and charismatic coach. Hope he will bring Croatia to greater heights in the future.
For Turkey, Congratulations… Well played… Turkey already overcome a big mountain, Croatia…
Can Turkey overcome themselves to the moon against Germany?

TURKEY DID IT!!!!!!!!! i cannot believe that they had come back from 1-0 down at the last minute. It’s a miracle that they won the match in dying seconds and they have done it for the past two matches against czech republic and switzerland!Let me predict: germany 1 turkey 0
