Derby vs Blackburn Highlights

Derby lost 1-2 to Blackburn to continue their miserable run in the Premier League. From many point of view, Derby looked set to be relegated although there is still another 18 games to go in the league.
Derby took the lead in the run of play when Matt Oakley fired the home side into the lead in the 27th minute. Derby should have taken a 2-0 lead when they were awarded a penalty but Steve Howard kicked was saved comfortably by Brad Freidel.
After that penalty missed, it all went wrong for Derby. First, Roque Santa Cruz tapped in an equalizer after keeper Price parried a Benni McCarthy’s shot.
Blackburn took the lead four minutes later when a blistering 25 yard drive from Bentley found the corner of the net.
Bentley could have doubled his tally in the second half but the post came to the rescue for the Rams. In the end, it was a well deserved victory for Mark Hughes men. Derby, you are doomed!
