Hleb: Penalty or not?
According to many eye witness, Hleb was fouled by Dirk Kuyt in the penalty box in the Arsenal vs Liverpool UEFA Champions League Match.
For me, i think it was a clear penalty! Even Carragher agrees with his reactions but the referee thinks otherwise.
So what do you all think after watching the video? What say you?

clear penalty. the referee waited for 2 seconds in order to analyze the problem and his good relation to Dirk Kuyt won in his decision.

Ref is spot on. Yes Wenger, it was because the ref was in such a good position that he could see it wasn’t a penalty.
What a dive. Look at that footwork. That’s years of practise, close to Ronaldo class.
Is there contact? Yes ofc. But there are a hundred such situations out on the pitch in each match where fouls are not given. It shouldn’t be any different in the penalty area.

that cracka ass bitch that said ronaldo flops needs some glasses. yes i agree that there was no foul and it was a good dive, when you see the angle where they are coming to you, its obviously not a foul. but ronaldo doesnt flop he gets takin out. yes he does flop like ALL players, but most of the times that they say he flops he was hit hard as fuck because thats the only way to stop him. you get constantly double and tripled teamed kicked and hit and see if you can stay up for even a second you lil bitch ass fag that doesnt that obviously doesnt play soccer. go play soccer and see how different it is. that was no fall getting his arm touched should not have caused him to fall, but bendter or w/e his name is a fucking moron. he wasnt offsides on that play but he fucked up big time.

i’m a spurs fan and i was laughing when the goon’s were robbed by the scousers (sounds familiar), but even i can’t deny that was a clear penalty
anybody who claims thats not a penalty is an idiot, or a liverpool supporter, who’s pobably never actually played football in there life, if you know football you dont even need to see that clip more than once to know. when your running at that speed it doesn’t take much to throw you off balance although that was more than a little contact. all you need to ask yourself is this:
did kuyt go for the ball - no.
was there contact with the ball - no
did he go for the man - yes
was there contact with the man - yes
was hleb still in possetion of the ball - yes
therefore its a clear penalty, the ref knows he made a mistake, he done a wenger and said he hasn’t seen the descision again , what trash

If it was a penalty, either reina would save it or 3 mins later lfc would equalized (2-2).But we should respect Hleb for his heroic talents.

That’s soccer doesn’t matter if it was a foul or not. I being a defender don’t think it’s a foul b/c the ref didn’t call it a foul. If you can get away with fouls then that’s great and it adds to your defending talent. It’s not a foul until the ref calls a foul!.

Definite penalty! Did you see the foul by Nesta on Hleb? That should have been a clear penalty as well. Don’t understand why the refs are mistreating Hleb so much.

I got tripped up and it was a penalty. The ref came up to me at the end of the game and said he wanted it to be a draw because he put £1000 on it to be a 1-1 draw. I got £250 from him, the next day.
