Juventus played a 5 star match to defeat Serie A strugglers Empoli in a 5-3 thriller to advance 6-5 on aggregate.
Marco Marchionni burst through the defense in the fourth minute to give Juve the lead with Pavel Nedved doubling the lead in the 10th minute.
Empoli made the tie interesting when the equalized for the night through Luca Antonini and Nicola Pozzi.
Vincenzo Iaquinta then gave Juve the lead again before Pozzi equalizing again. Iaquinta and Del Piero put the match beyond reach when they scored in the 61st and 79th minutes respectively.
