Manchester United vs Birmingham Highlights

Manchester United defeated Birmingham 1-0 at Old Trafford courtesy of a Carlos Tevez strike in the 25th minute.

Manchester United started the match with Ronaldo partnering Tevez up front with Rooney out with a virus.

Birmingham started brighter of the two sides with Jerome scorching a long range effort over Tomasz Kuszczak’s bar within 60 seconds.

United break through came when Tevez dropped deep to flip a pass over his head for Ronaldo to back heeled it back to Tevez to clinically slid the ball passed Taylor. 1-0 United! That was about all the action in the first half.

In the second half, United came out strongly and Tevez had a shot shed against the post with Ronaldo missing the follow up attempt. United tried as they can but could not break down the brave Birmingham defence.

Birmingham had a few decent chances themselves through the likes of Forsell but United stood firm to collect all three points keep tracked with Arsenal.
