Newcastle vs Manchester City Highlights

Much were said about Newcastle gallant performance at Chelsea the other day and many expected them to beat Manchester City. It turned out the other way round when Newcastle lost 0-2 to Manchester City at St James’ Park.
Newcastle stated on the right note when City keeper’s Joe Hart was called upon into action by Habib Beye, N’Zogbia and Obafemi Martins effort.
Soccer can be strange at time when City took the lead with a Elano strike seven minutes before half time.
Newcastle started the second half from where they started in the first half. Michael Owen, a second half substitute was given a golden opportunity to equalize when he was put through one on one with Hart. Hart brilliantly saved Owen’s effort with his foot.
The some story happened again in the second half with Newcastle attacking most of the time but City got the goal. This time, Nelson Fernandes was the hero for City when he finished off a neat move to end any hopes of a Newcastle revival.
With this victory, Manchester City moved up to fourth in the table, their first away win of the season. Meanwhile Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce is feeling more pressure and stated bad luck as the main reason after this defeat. Newcastle stayed on 11th position in the league table.
