Roma took a slim lead after the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie against Real Madrid.

Roma beat Real Madrid 2-1 in front of 52000 fans at the Stadio Olimpico.

Madrid started well and took the lead through Raul when Gutti’s shot was deflected into by Raul in the 8th minute.

It did not take long for Roma to equalized when Pizarro scored with a right footed shot which beat Casillas.

Roma keeper was on form to deny Madrid when Doni, punched away Gutti’s free kick.

The winner came when Totti found Mancini who slot the ball in from a tight angle to give Roma a 2-1 lead which they did not surrender.
