Looks like the quarter finals matches of the Euro 2008 belongs to the underdogs. All three underdogs had qualified for the semi-finals and they are Germany, Turkey and Russia. So can another underdog, Italy make it four in a row? 
Spain will be going into this match against Italy as the clear favorites after their dominating all their 3 earlier group matches. Spain defeated Russia 4-1 in their opening match followed by a tough 2-1 victory over Sweden. Spain closed their group matches with a 2-1 win over Greece.
Meanwhile, Italy had to huff and puff to qualify for the quarter finals. Italy lost 0-3 to Netherlands in their opening match before a lucky 1-1 draw with Romania. Italy finished their group matches in style with a 2-0 victory over France.
No doubt Spain will start as favorites for this match as they strolled easily passed their group matches with ease while Italy had to struggle to get through to the quarter finals.
Anyhow, i will be going for an Italian win. I hope they can do it on 90 minutes! Enough of extra time and penalties for me. Forza Italia!
Changes
- Spain Luis Aragones will revert to his first choice line up after fielding his reserves in the 2-1 win over Greece.
- Cesc Fabregas is set to return to the bench with Xavi marshaling the midfield.
- Andrea Pirlo and Gattuso will be suspended and Ambrosini and Camoranesi will replace them respectively.
- Cassano will partner Luca Toni up front.

Italy cheats??? ummm, didn’t spain get a yellow card today for diving in the box???? clearly, you are misinformed! Anyyyywaysssssss, Italy is out… we will see what happens next. Germany looks to be the best contender out of the 4 teams remaining but you never know.
